*في اليوم الدولي للعمل البرلماني:*

*رئيس البرلمان العربي يؤكد أهمية تعزيز التعاون مع الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي دعما وتعزيزا للدبلوماسية البرلمانية على مستوى العالم*

أكد معالي السيد عادل بن عبدالرحمن العسومي رئيس البرلمان العربي أهمية الدور الذي تضطلع به البرلمانات على كافة المستويات الدولية والإقليمية والعربية لخدمة شعوبها، مشددا على ضرورة تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين البرلمانات كون الدبلوماسية البرلمانية أصبحت أحد أهم الوسائل الحديثة والفاعلة التي تمارسها البرلمانات للتعامل مع القضايا خارج الدولة، بجانب الدبلوماسية الرسمية.

جاء ذلك بمناسبة الاحتفال باليوم الدولي للعمل البرلماني الذي يوافق 30 يونيو من كل عام، وهو التاريخ الذي تأسس فيه الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي في عام 1889م.

وثمن رئيس البرلمان العربي في هذا الإطار الدور الهام الذي يقوم به الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، مشيرًا إلى حرصه على تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون مع الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، خدمةً لمصالح الشعوب العربية وشعوب العالم، ومعربا عن تطلعه للتعاون بشكل أكبر يتضمن التنسيق على المستوى البرلماني والسياسي، والدفع نحو إقامة شراكة استراتيجية بين الجانبين .

وأكد العسومي، أن البرلمان العربي يحرص خلال هذه المرحلة الصعبة التي تمر بها المنطقة وما تشملها من تحديات سياسية واقتصادية إلى السعي الدؤوب للارتقاء بدوره بما يلبي تطلعات وطموحات الشعوب العربية.

On the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentarism:

The President of the Arab Parliament stresses the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Union in support and strength for parliamentary diplomacy globally

The President of the Arab Parliament H.E. Mr. Adel bin AbdulRahman AlAsoomi, stressed the importance of

the role played by parliaments at all international, regional and Arab levels in the service of their peoples, and emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation and coordination among parliaments since parliamentary diplomacy has become one of the most important modern and effective methods practiced by parliaments to deal with issues outside the country besides official diplomacy.

This statement came on the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentarism, which is celebrated every year on 30 June, the date in 1889 on which the Inter-Parliamentary Union was founded.

In this context, the President of the Arab Parliament valued the significant role played by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, expressing his keenness to strengthen cooperation and coordination with the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the interests of the Arab peoples and the world’s people, and conveying his aspiration to closer cooperation including coordination at the parliamentary and political levels, and advancing the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two sides.

AlAsoomi stressed that the Arab Parliament is eager at this difficult phase in the region encompassed by political and economic challenges, to endeavour to enhance its role in meeting the aspirations and ambitions of the Arab peoples.
